HIGH SCHOOL
This class is designed for high school players who want to continue advancing their tennis skills through focused training, match play, and strategy development. Players will refine their technique, improve consistency, and build tactical awareness for both singles and doubles. Emphasis is placed on physical conditioning, mental toughness, and competitive play to prepare athletes for high school team competition and beyond. Ideal for players with prior tennis experience who are motivated to elevate their game.

 

 

ELITE
Join us for our 4:00-6:00 PM Elite program! The Junior Elite Group is designed for the more advanced players who are regularly competing and looking to take their game to the next level. This program focuses on enhancing competitiveness through high-intensity training, tactical development, and mental resilience. Players in this group are expected to demonstrate strong commitment, a high work ethic, and a desire to excel in a performance-focused environment.

 
 
 
INTERMEDIATE
This intermediate-level tennis class is designed for students with basic experience who want to build stronger fundamentals and take their game to the next level. Participants will focus on refining essential techniques—including forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves—while also learning proper footwork, court positioning, and how to construct points. The class will also introduce players to scoring, match play rules, and game strategies to prepare them competitive play. This class will mainly play with a mixture of Green Transition Balls & Regular Balls. 

 

BEGINNER GROUP 1
This fun and engaging beginner tennis class is designed for children ages 6–8, using a 36-foot court and red balls to ensure success and enjoyment. The program focuses on introducing the fundamentals of tennis—such as proper grip, basic strokes (forehand, backhand, and volleys), and footwork—through age-appropriate games and drills. In addition to tennis skills, the class emphasizes general athletic development, including balance, coordination, and agility. All activities are structured to build confidence, encourage teamwork, and foster a love for the game in a supportive and playful environment.
 
BEGINNER GROUP 2
This beginner tennis class is designed for youth ages 9–14 and takes place on a full-size court using standard tennis balls. The program introduces players to the fundamentals of the game, including proper grip, basic stroke technique (forehand, backhand, serve, and volley), footwork, and scoring. In addition to learning tennis skills, the class promotes overall athletic development with activities that enhance coordination, agility, and fitness. Through fun drills, games, and match play, players build confidence, improve movement, and develop a strong foundation in a supportive and motivating environment.

GTP Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for young people to pursue excellence in academics, tennis, service, and life. The GTP program is one of the strongest junior programs in the country. Each year players from the program receive Division 1 tennis scholarships. We have a proven pathway for players who love to play and practice.

GTP players have played for the following schools:  Auburn, Catawba, Columbia, College of Charleston, Florida A&M, Greensboro College, Guilford College, UNC Charlotte, NC A&T, UNC Greensboro, NC State, UNC Wilmington, Norfolk St, Pfeiffer, Radford, US Naval Academy, Utah, UT Chattanooga, Wake Forest, Western Carolina, West Virginia, Xavier.

Spencer Love Tennis Center is a public tennis establishment located at 3802 Jaycee Park Dr, Greensboro, NC 27455. There are 18 Championship Composition public tennis courts at this tennis facility.
